Strategic Montessori & Therapy Center
Strategic Montessori & Therapy Center provides a nurturing, structured environment for children with autism, combining the Montessori method with ABA therapy. Our center features interactive learning spaces, a sensory gym, and individualized plans to build social skills, communication, and independence. Each child is encouraged to explore, play, and learn at their own pace with the support needed to reach their full potential.
Environment
Layout
All rooms feature an open layout with a variety of learning stations and two individual treatment rooms for pull out sessions. In addition, a bathroom, hand-washing station, and communal lunch table are also inside.
Materials
Our materials are Montessori based, hands on, and accessible, to promote learner led play.
Interactions
While working on their individualized programs, children are also able to learn foundational social skills from their peers- Cooperation, Toleration, Friendship, and Communication.
Play Based
Our center offers a separate 750 sq. ft. sensory gym. This provides a chance to change environments and experience both physical and sensory activities regardless of the weather.
Friendship
Our interactive environment provides natural opportunities to initiate play with peers, foster awareness of others feelings and space, and recognize shared interests to help develop friendships.
Cooperation
Understanding how to work together and in a shared space can be a challenge. This means sharing, waiting, and taking turns. Our program offers an emotionally positive, safe, and natural environment to learn these skills.
Toleration
Tolerating our environment and those around us are key to building relationships, learning and growing, and being comfortable in the community. Our program provides a slow paced, encouraging environment to build and grow tolerance skills necessary for both learning and behavior reduction.
Communication
Our individualized communication goals promote children's skills to express wants and needs in a supportive and safe environment. Our therapist's are trained in basic ASL, PECS, and augmentative devices to support whichever form of communication your child needs.
Our Approach
At Strategic Montessori & Therapy Center we want to provide neurodivergent children with the same learning environment that neurotypical children experience with the necessary modifications to be successful. We designed a Montessori inspired environment and paired it with an overarching therapeutic curriculum to bridge that gap. Our center provides individualized plans and one-to-one staff for each child to work on their developmental skills, socialization, and emotional regulation with a hands-on approach that promotes independence.
We believe that every child has the capacity to learn. Our job is to understand how to best teach them.
